In 2 days from beginner to confident polisher.
In this 2-day course on Friday and Saturday, you will learn the following:
Learn to safely repair watch cases, lids, parts and bands yourself
Professional polishing matting/satting, sanding and grinding
Correct designations
Trial eye/hand coordination
Confidently recognize sequence of techniques
Beautiful folder with teaching materials
Tool knowledge
Knowledge of materials
Machine control and safety
History and future of the watchmaking craft
Certification: After completion of the course, participants will receive the Chronoglide Watch Polishing and Finishing participation certificate.
Course Level: Intermediate to advanced
Course materials:
Student are provided with samples to polish and a Student Manual.
Number of participants: Min. 5 – Max. 9
Language: This course will be taught in both English and Dutch
Duration of the course: 2 days. Friday and Saturday, 09.30 – 17.00
Target audience: This training is for every watchmaker that wants to get into polishing watches, watch cases and bands.
Method of delivery: This course is a workshop/classroom format only.
Instructors: Kalle Slaap will be the lead instructor and there will be at least one other instructor available during the practical sessions.
Pre-requisites: No previous experience is needed, although affinity with technical work and an interest in timepieces is highly recommended.
