9 – 13 November 2026 Watch restoration course – English and Dutch
Intensive one week personal practical training. Bring your level of watchmaking to a higher level. For beginners to advanced watchmakers. Every student gets personal support during this intensive week.
Week planning (more advanced watchmakers can skip the theory and start working on their projects)
Monday – Introduction and tooling
Tue-Wed Working on mechanical movements with confidence (first time right principal). Finding defects fast during assembly and how to solve them. Tips and tricks.
Thursday – Watch finishing
Thu-Fri – Lubrication and recap of the week
This Course runs from 09.30 – 17.00 every day. Coffee, stroopwafels and lunch are included in the training.
Certification: After completion of the course, participants will receive the Chronoglide Watch Restoration Course 1 participation certificate.
Course Level: From Beginner to Advanced. This is a largely customizable training. Every student will work on projects tailored towards the level of the student.
Course materials:
Students are provided with a course manual, sample watches and access to all tools in the workshop.
Number of participants: Min. 5 – Max. 9
Language: This course will be taught in both English and Dutch
Duration of the course: 5 days. Monday through Friday, 09.30 – 17.00
Target audience: This training is for every (aspiring) watchmaker at every level. Spend 5 days in a fully outfitted workshop, under the guidance of experienced instructors, and work on projects that will challenge your level.
Method of delivery: This course is a workshop/classroom format only.
Instructors: Kalle Slaap will be the lead instructor and there will be at least one other instructor available during the practical sessions.
Pre-requisites: No previous experience is needed, although affinity with technical work and an interest in timepieces is highly recommended.
