18 – 22 May 2026 – Chronograph course – English and Dutch
Designed for watchmakers and professionals ready to move beyond hand-wound movements, this intensive 5-day Chronograph course combines in-depth theory with structured practical work on mechanical chronograph movements.
Participants will develop a solid understanding of chronograph history, functions, and mechanical principles, while gaining hands-on experience in disassembly, fault diagnosis, reassembly, lubrication, and regulation of a chronograph movement.
Course content includes:

Terminology and history of the chronograph

Types of chronographs: monopusher, double pusher, flyback, split-seconds (rattrapante), and foudroyante

Scales and displays: tachymeter, telemeter, pulsometer, and related indications

Mechanical principles:

Command systems (column wheel vs. cam)

Clutch types (lateral vs. vertical)

Integrated vs. modular chronograph construction

Complete chronograph movement disassembly

This course is aimed at enthusiasts, retailers, and watch professionals who seek a structured balance of theory and hands-on practice, with an emphasis on understanding chronograph architecture, function, and adjustment rather than advanced component-level repair.
Week planning
The course will spend 20% on theory, 80% bench work. Typically the day starts with a review of the previous day, the theory of the day and then the planning of the day. The rest of the day will be spent behind the benches.

Certification: After completion of the course, participants will receive the Chronoglide Chronograph participation certificate.
